Speeding Driver Killed In Accident On 410

At 7 a.m., Tuesday morning, Jason Estrada, 27, was killed in a car accident. He was driving his Ford F-150 down the southbound access road, when he crashed near Loop 410 and Rigsby Avenue. The San Antonio police department arrived quickly to the scene and spent hours investigating. They found that Estrada had been speeding and lost control of his vehicle.

The truck also crashed into a fire hydrant and knocked down power lines. Several individuals in nearby homes reported temporary loss of power. Police noted that Estrada had been trapped under the truck for a period before the firefighters were able to free him. He died because of his injuries while trapped under the vehicle.

When it comes to reckless driving and endangering other lives, the law is very strict. Speeding falls under the “strict liability” sector of tort laws. This means that the plaintiff only needs to prove that they were injured and the defendant’s carelessness or negligence was at fault. Usually these laws help expedite the trial process so that the injured party can receive the compensation they deserve. They also hold drivers accountable for their actions and responsibilities to their fellow drivers.
