Takata recently announced that it would be expanding its already large 18 million auto recall to 34 million recalls over defective airbags, making this the largest auto recall in history and one of the largest consumer product recalls ever.

Honda manufactured a majority of the vehicles involved in the injury and death reports, but other vehicles were affected as well. Most of these vehicles were manufactured between 2000 and 2011.

People can search for recalls by VIN number to see if their vehicle has been affected.
